When We Play A Game
Your eyes don’t belong to the mortal world; they harbour heavenly beauty in themselves; they are quite like the two moons orbiting around Mars. They have been made a part of my world to complement the radiance emitted from my eyes. The iridescent beauty encapsulated in the two organs of vision you possess is going to show the path before me for quite some time.

The contrast provided by your eyes to everyone’s eyes in the world is capable of brightening up the dark pits into which everyone in the world seems to have fallen. These pits are not dark because of their depth, but because of the intense darkness inherent in these pits. Everyone comes across some pits in the normal course of one’s life, and everyone comes out of it too. You are the only one who can brighten up the pits I’ve fallen into; no one else has the potential to do so.  I thank the beam of light that guided me till now, but it isn’t going to be enough to pierce the darkness before me now.

I can never forget about the beam of light that showed me the way through the darkness inherent in my world for a long time. It was perhaps more powerful than the one you propose to throw upon my life, but it faded into the ether quite some time back. There was nothing deficient in its quality, but like everything else in life, it had to fadr off in the natural course of events.  There is no way anyone can ever replace the strength and magnificence of the beam of light, but your proposal to counter darkness and misery in my life is comparable to the powers it once held over my life once upon a time. I only hope whatever light you flash before me is stronger than or is at least as strong as the radiance the beam of light that gave me life.

I want something more powerful than the beam of light to survive in the world now. The beam of light did give me a lot of warmth and comfort, but I have grown out of the phase of life when I needed the typical warmth to be happy. I need something more to fight the world on its own terms now. I need more power to bring the contest to be fought on my own terms, and I need your help and assurance of your company to win the fight besides being an active fighter.

It is going to be a tough contest that is to be won, I know, but none of the contests I’ve fought in life have been easy. All of them have been very tough, but with a lot of patience and resilience, I’ve won every single battle single-handedly. I  almost wish I could pat myself on my back for this. Life has unfurled in all its forms before me, and I’ve taken care to contest every adversity quite successfully.

There are several more battles to be fought after this point, and it is going to be a tougher ordeal for me to win any of them without you as a gallant knight standing before me at every step. Even if I don’t intend to win a battle, it is giving all opponents a tough fight that is my aim. I am not going to be an easy adversary for anyone.

The battles fought till now were of a unique nature, and those to be fought from now on shall be of an entirely different nature, I know.  The battles I have already won seem to be easy ones, although nothing has ever been easy for me. those before me shall also lose the intricacies that seem to be inherent in them once I am through them, or once I have won them too. So, I only have to march on like a gallant     warrior with the gallant knight you are. There was an option before me to lose the battles I fought till now, and it would have made very little difference, but the battles to be fought from now on have to be won at all costs. With you by my side, there are all chances of winning all battles, without you, none of them are to be won.

The battles I am to fight from now on are going to be contested with you as a companion. It is going to be quite easy to win when you have a good player on your side when you are out to win a football match. The skills of the goalkeeper on the other side don’t count as much as long as you have an expert player who can dribble the ball over the field and kick it into the   goal-post without letting the opponents get a whiff of the direction in which the ball is being kicked. An expert player playing on your side can change the direction of the game in your favour, you can be sure. You are the expert player who can change the course of the game of my life. I hope you change the course of my life as well as the game when you play it.
